The theme of this year’s celebration was “Mexican Independence ~ 1845.” Santa Margarita Community Forestry volunteers joined hands with members of Girl Scout Jr. Troop #65 to be “Tree Amigos” on parade. This seemed especially fitting since G.S. Jr. Troop #65 members have been our faithful forest friends and service partners since 1997. Being “Tree Amigos” was (and is) a lot of fun + we won the Sweepstakes Award for our parade entry. Thanks to Cheri Roe for photographs!
