AT&T Supports Santa Margarita Community Forestry

George Sullivan, AT&T employee and SMCF volunteer, presenting $250 check from AT&T Foundation to "Treechie" aka John Wyman and young "tree amigos" of Santa Margarita on Thursday, July 26,2001. This AT&T CARES grant serves to recognize and support the community service efforts of AT&T employees and will be put to good use in Santa Margarita. The funds will help cover the cost of native plants for a landscape beautification project now in progress around the corner from the SMCF Demonstration Forest. The latter was created in 1997 largely through the efforts of SMCF volunteers and is located along the H St. entrance to Santa Margarita School. John Wyman, when he's not being "Treechie," is the volunteer leader of the "around the corner" landscaping project. Thanks to AT& T for the generous support, to the Atascadero Unified School District for ongoing cooperation and support, and to all of the volunteers who've contributed their time and talents.
