We haven't planted any trees lately but we have spent a lot time outdoors, making discoveries, learning about nature close to home, taking care of our school forest (now 12 years old!) and nurturing the growth of young oaks (planted by students in April 1997). We hope these snapshots will give you some idea of what a good time we've had working and learning together!
Cal Poly trail interns Rachel McDowell (Animal Science) and Casey Dilg (Biology) are shown with Daniel Bohlman, Stewardship Manager for The Land Conservancy of SLO County, working on preparations for the October start of trail days for Santa Margarita's 4th-6th grade students. |
