Thanks to George Sullivan, longtime volunteer and AT&T employee (of nearly 40 years), for leading the successful Aug. 15,2009 back to school clean-up project at the Demonstration Forest. The industrious trio of community volunteers, including George, Matt Andros and Tom Becker, spent their Saturday morning clearing weeds and sprucing up the site before the start of school. This project was sorely needed since the summer volunteer work has been limited to watering. This fall, a number of DF improvement projects will be calling for volunteers. Please stay tuned and do what you can to help keep this special place growing and beautiful for the use and enjoyment of the school and community. This was a weed lot before transformation plans began in 1996 and the DF was planted in Spring 1997. Volunteers make the difference!
