Mountain Valley 4-H members, guided by community club leader Sherry Martinez (shown at center in photo above), were among the energetic crew of 9 adult and 15 youth volunteers who came to tackle landscape maintenance jobs at the Demonstration Forest on October 12,2002. Thanks to this super team, the Demonstration Forest is beautiful again! Volunteer workdays are regularly held on the second Saturday of each month (October through May), 9 - 11 AM. However, please note that our next workday will be held on November 16(third Saturday) due to a second Saturday schedule conflict. Youth groups who'd like to follow the example of Mountain Valley 4-H are especially encouraged to consider this community service opportunity and come join us!
