This is Treechie, the teaching tree, with Beverly Gingg, SMCF coordinator and “I spy” nature walk guide. Treechie was designed by Cindy McCall of Santa Barbara Co. ReLeaf and created by Julie Diani of Nipomo. The original Treechie lives in Cindy's Lompoc office; there are now four Treechie varietals in California. Beverly and Treechie are part of the “field trips to the forest” educational team.
