Workday at the Demonstration Forest

9 - 11 a.m.
The Demonstration Forest is beautiful thanks to an energetic crew of volunteers who came to tackle unruly weeds, pick up litter and clear the trail on March 9. Workers included Jerry Spruill (new volunteer - welcome Jerry!), Simone and Garrett Smith, Jim DeLuca, Tom Becker, Cal Gunther and Beverly Gingg. Looks like we're going to have a spectacular spring --- the California lilacs (ours are 'Dark Star' Ceanothus) are putting on a dazzling show and the California poppies are just beginning to bloom. Volunteer workdays are held on the second Saturday of each month. Upcoming dates to remember: April 13, May 11, and June 8. Check the Calendar for details and come join us!
